POSITION OVERVIEW

The Compliance Manager supports the Orthopedic Care Partners (OCP) Compliance Program and the Chief Compliance Officer by managing non-coding compliance audits and monitoring activities, supporting policy maintenance and education, administering the compliance management system, managing assigned projects, and assisting with other compliance activities as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Manage and conduct non-coding compliance audits and monitoring activities identified through OCP’s annual auditing and monitoring plan, risk assessments, regulatory requirements, or at the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Develop audit scopes and tools, evaluate findings, prepare reports, and coordinate corrective actions and follow-up monitoring.
• Identify compliance trends, control weaknesses, and potential risks and escalate significant concerns to the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Support the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
• Develop and coordinate compliance and policy education, communications, and related resources.
• Administer the Healthicity compliance management system, including applicable audit, policy, incident, education, and reporting functions.
• Manage assigned compliance projects and assist with implementation and tracking of Compliance Work Plan activities.
• Conduct regulatory research and assist with compliance risk assessments and evaluation of regulatory changes.
• Develop compliance metrics, reports, and materials for leadership and compliance governance activities.
• Support compliance investigations and other reviews as assigned.
• Collaborate with operational and corporate departments on compliance initiatives and corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties necessary to support the compliance function and under the direction of the CCO.

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, health information management, nursing, public health, compliance, legal studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, regulatory, risk management, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and the elements of an effective compliance program.
• Experience with compliance auditing and monitoring, policy management, corrective actions, or compliance program operations.
• Experience within a physician practice, medical group, ambulatory, or multi-site healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience administering compliance management software preferred.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), or other relevant certification preferred.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
• Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
• Travel to existing or new OCP locations may be required.
