OPEX Site Lead

Job Responsibilities Develop and implement the OPEX strategy for the Pennsville site. Benchmark operational excellence concepts and apply them to increase efficiency. Lead and influence continuous improvement efforts across functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, HR, finance, and other departments). Drive all continuous improvement initiatives and increase performance through optimization tools. Implement Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing strategy and culture to enhance operational effectiveness. Identify opportunities and implement improvements using industry best practices in Operational Excellence. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational effectiveness. Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Lead cross‑functional teams to gather and analyze data, create metrics, and implement improvements. Design and implement cost‑reduction projects and improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. Report on performance metrics and provide insights to leadership for decision‑making. Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance overall operational effectiveness. Job Requirements Proficient in leading Kaizen events, Gemba walks, 5S audits, and Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED). Proficient in Root Cause Analysis methodologies across the site. Proficient in production systems, procurement, finance, and SAP for analysis of COGs and financial variances. Proficient in Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and related tools. Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma implementations. Advanced problem‑solving strategies and proficiency with MRP software, Minitab or similar. Familiarity with CMMS and FIFO, supply chain concepts for inventory improvements. Experience with Kanban, JIT, and other Lean concepts. Proficiency in energy consumption analysis and waste reduction. Ability to calculate OEE and apply it for technical availability increases, quality improvements, and debottlenecking. Excellent leadership and role‑model capabilities with experience organizing data and visual data analysis. Green or Black Belt certification preferred. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience. MBA is preferred. Supervision The incumbent must be able to give technical instructions to chemical operators.
