Sales Manager - Construction (Sales) Sales Manager Construction About the Role Pete Lien & Sons is seeking a strategic, customer-focused, and results-driven Sales Manager to help drive continued growth across our construction materials business. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this key leadership position is responsible for overseeing sales and marketing efforts for mining and processing construction aggregates and lime products while maintaining strong customer relationships and identifying new market opportunities. The Sales Manager serves as a critical link between customers, operations, accounting, quality control, and leadership teams. This role combines relationship management, business development, market analysis, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, forecasting, and industry engagement to support the company's long-term growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Assist the CMO in developing and executing overall sales and marketing strategies. Oversee marketing and high-level sales activities for construction aggregates and lime products. Maintain and grow assigned customer accounts through proactive relationship management. Develop and identify new markets, products, and growth opportunities. Serve as the liaison between customers and operations regarding quality assurance, product performance, and customer needs. Obtain material takeoffs from project designs and provide timely, accurate quotations. Develop, negotiate, and manage customer contracts and agreements aligned with business goals. Analyze and manage pricing strategies, sales budgets, forecasts, revenue, and volume projections. Collaborate with customer service, accounts receivable, and accounting teams to optimize customer credit and collection management. Forecast production needs in partnership with operations based on market demand and customer opportunities. Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision-making. Participate in industry boards, associations, and events that support Pete Lien & Sons' growth and visibility. Ensure all customer and project interactions are documented within the CRM system. Generate reports and provide recommendations to support leadership decision-making. Champion company policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
