Resource Float Pool Nurse

Level I trauma and large hospital experience is required. The resource float pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our two campuses, BUMC-Tucson (Level I trauma 625 beds) and BUMC-South (Level III trauma 245 beds), to provide support where necessary. BUMC-Tucson campus has the following adult health units with patients that range from observation (2 units), med surg (4 units), to PCU and IMC (total 11 units). PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the ED or the PACU to take adult health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit. BUMC-South campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson. It has 4 adult health units (1 OBS, 2 PCU, and 1 MS) which they may float to.

Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date, or no more than one week later. RTO must be on the cover page and cannot exceed 7 days. No RTO during the first week of assignment. Please list all facilities the candidate is willing to work in. Specify facility name(s), states, or all, if open to any facility in any state. All shifts the candidate is willing to work. All departments the candidate is experienced and willing to work.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 24 months PCU experience (with recent experience in last 12 months) - [REQUIRED]
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI - [REQUIRED]
• No hits on state license to practice - [REQUIRED]
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days, no RTO during the first week of assignment - [REQUIRED]
• Candidate driver's license to verify residency - [REQUIRED]
• Travel experience - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
