Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer - Mill-Turn

Job Title CNC Programmer - Mill-Turn Location and Schedule Onsite – Buffalo, NYEast Aurora, NY Responsibilities Create detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high‑precision machined parts and sub‑assemblies. Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production. Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability. Be hands‑on in the production environment, assisting with program prove‑outs and troubleshooting. Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications. Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience. 3+ years experience CNC programming using CAD/CAM software. Experience with mill‑turn machines. Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product. Hands‑on experience with machine setup and operation. Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments. Preferred Qualifications A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Background in the aerospace industry. Experience with machine automation integration. Skills in inspection of machined parts. Hands‑on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum. Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
