Location: District Office Employment Type: Full-Time Work Days: 260 Days / 12 Months FLSA: Exempt Reports to: Director of Student Services Salary/Benefits: Salary as approved by the Board of Education after consideration of the recommendation of the Superintendent.

Job Summary: The Coordinator of Student Services supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of district-wide student services programs, including special education, related services, and intervention supports. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting equitable access to services that support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs. The Coordinator works collaboratively with administrators, staff, families, and community agencies to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) standards and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Essential Duties and Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of special education and student services programs across the district
• Support compliance with federal, state, and district regulations, including IDEA and ISBE requirements
• Monitor IEP development, implementation, and timelines to ensure compliance and quality
• Collaborate with building administrators to support student services programming and problem-solving
• Provide coaching and support to special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of student services staff
• Design and facilitate professional development related to special education, behavior supports, and inclusion practices
• Assist in responding to ISBE inquiries, complaints, and due process procedures
• Provide guidance and support to staff on special education procedures, documentation, and best practices
• Assist in the coordination and supervision of related services (e.g., SLP, OT, PT, Social Work, Psychology)
• Support the implementation of MTSS frameworks and intervention systems across the district
• Analyze student data to inform programming, service delivery, and resource allocation
• Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and problem-solving teams as needed
• Assist in resolving parent concerns and support positive family engagement
• Support staff professional development related to student services, compliance, and instructional practices
• Assist in monitoring program effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with community agencies and external service providers
• Support student discipline processes as they relate to special education regulations
• Assist with state reporting, grants, and compliance documentation
• Participate in district leadership teams and committees
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or designee

Minimum Education, Certification, and Licensure: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required LBS I (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement required Illinois Special Education Director endorsement/license strongly preferred Administrative endorsement (Type 75) required or in progress Master's Degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field required

Professional Experience and Skills: Experience in special education, student services, or related field Experience with IEP development, compliance, and service delivery models Knowledge of IDEA, ISBE regulations, and special education law Experience supporting MTSS and intervention frameworks Experience working with diverse student populations Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills Ability to analyze and use data to drive decision-making Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
