Pharmaceutical Project Manager

Accentuate Staffing is working with an established global manufacturer in Raleigh to recruit a Pharmaceutical Project Manager who will take ownership of customer projects from early definition and proposal development through delivery and closeout. This newly added position will have visible influence across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations while creating the project-management practices needed to support a growing life-sciences business.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in pharmaceutical, medical-device, or similarly regulated environments and understands how to balance compliance, technical risk, schedules, budgets, and customer expectations. Success requires PMP-level project discipline, familiarity with FDA and quality-system requirements, and experience delivering capital equipment or complex integrated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmaceutical equipment and engineered-system projects from customer discovery and RFQ review through planning, execution, acceptance, and closeout.
• Partner with application engineering and sales to translate requirements into clear scope, technical specifications, pricing inputs, proposal packages, and realistic delivery commitments.
• Own project schedules, budgets, deliverables, risk registers, change control, and corrective actions while providing transparent status reporting to customers and internal leaders.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison and coordinate engineering, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and commercial stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Ensure project documentation and execution align with FDA expectations, applicable quality systems, customer standards, and relevant GMP principles.
• Build repeatable project templates, workflows, KPIs, lessons-learned practices, and training materials that support future team growth and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Seven or more years of project-management experience in pharmaceutical, medical-device, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Active PMP certification and a bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering capital equipment, custom-engineered machinery, or complex systems-integration projects from scope definition through customer acceptance.
• Working knowledge of FDA-regulated quality systems, compliance documentation, and GMP principles; validation, Lean, Six Sigma, or related quality credentials are advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing communication, negotiation, conflict-resolution, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills in deadline-driven settings.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, use Microsoft Office and project tools, learn engineering systems, and travel approximately 15% domestically with occasional international travel.
