Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent Labor Delivery / OB experience, Fetal Monitoring Experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP - current and in hand at time of submission Must-Have: Must be proficient and experienced from patient check-in to pre/post care to discharge. Must live outside a 50+ mile radius. Permanent address must be included in the submission file. Labor Delivery skills checklist must be completed within the past year. One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment is required. Description: Demonstrates clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process. The RN must assess and identify patient problems/needs. Establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress. Manage high-risk pregnancy management, including preterm labor, high blood pressure, diabetes, VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section), prenatal testing, and amniocentesis. Facilitate childbirth education classes. Weekends are required every other week.
