Directional Drill OperatorMcCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Directional Drill Operator to perform directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable. Travel will be required for this position- primarily in GA, NC and SC. McCall-Thomas Engineering has been providing quality engineering and technical services since 1945.As a McCall-Thomas Directional Drill Operator, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to our clients.Duties & Responsibilities:Perform standard maintenance work on drill and support equipmentDrive/operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (backhoe, trencher, directional bore, bucket truck)Locate buried wiring/cabling and install underground telecommunications cablesInstall coax and fiber systems using ditch witch or vermeer type drillFlagging/Safely coordinate vehicles and equipment within public areas/active work sitesRestore worksitePerform general construction work using hand tools under direction of ForemanPerforms other duties as necessaryWhat Will You Need:HS diplomaValid Class A CDL with clean driving recordEligibility to work in the US without sponsorshipMinimum 2 years' experience in directional drillingAbility to locate and dig around utilities to install underground conduit and fiber optic cableAbility to complete daily bore logs manually and electronicallyAbility to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build processAbility to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policiesPositive attitude and ability to complete tasks on scheduleAbility to maintain positive working relationshipsPreferred Certifications:OSHA 10OSHA 30First AidFlaggingCPRWhat We Offer:At McCall-Thomas, we offer employees the chance to work with great people on exciting projects, with opportunity for growth.
