Iron Gate Dental Care is excited to open our doors in Huntsville, Alabama this fall, and we're looking for three Dental Hygienists to join our founding team.

Iron Gate Dental Care is expected to maintain the following office hours:

Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Thursday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Please note that individual team member schedules may vary. Scheduled work hours will fall within these office hours and will be discussed during the interview process. This full-time position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by performing preventive dental hygiene procedures and periodontal therapy
• Complete comprehensive periodontal assessments, charting, and risk evaluations
• Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, and treatment recommendations
• Partner closely with the doctor to identify and discuss treatment needs
• Take and review digital radiographs and other diagnostic records
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation
• Support a positive patient experience by building trust and long-term relationships
• Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on patient care and practice growth
• Help establish workflows, systems, and culture as part of a brand-new practice opening team
• Serve as an ambassador for the practice by delivering outstanding service and helping grow patient relationships within the community

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in the state of Alabama or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for patient education and providing exceptional care
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Comfortable utilizing dental technology and electronic patient records
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning
• New graduates and experienced hygienists are encouraged to apply

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
