Dental Care of Huntsville is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our collaborative and patient-focused team. We are looking for a confident clinician who is passionate about periodontal health, patient education, and creating exceptional patient experiences. • Monday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM - 12:55 PM)
• Tuesday: 8:45 AM - 6:00 PM (Lunch 1:00 PM - 1:55 PM)
• Wednesday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM - 12:55 PM)
• Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM - 12:55 PM)
• Friday: TBD

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services in accordance with state regulations and office protocols.
• Perform periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and ongoing periodontal therapy.
• Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease, treatment recommendations, and home care techniques.
• Partner with dentists to support treatment planning, co-diagnosis, and comprehensive patient care.
• Review medical histories, identify risk factors, and document findings accurately.
• Take diagnostic radiographs and utilize technology to support patient education and treatment acceptance.
• Maintain productive and efficient patient schedules while delivering high-quality care and exceptional service.
• Build trusting relationships with patients through strong communication and personalized care.
• Utilize practice technologies, including Dentrix, iTero Scanner, and Videa, when applicable.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support office goals and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Alabama.
• Minimum of one year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Confidence in periodontal therapy, patient education, and treatment co-diagnosis.
• Experience with Dentrix, iTero Scanner, and Videa preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and teammates.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
• Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and business team members.
• Open to feedback, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
