Step into a rewarding contract role supporting preschool students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California, working with children ages 3-5 across several school sites. This full-time position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 17, 2026. You’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners, collaborating with another dedicated SLP at your school site. Expect a manageable caseload of up to 50 students and the chance to contribute to a setting that also values occupational therapy intervention.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid SLP or SLPA credentials (including CFY, CCC, or eligibility)
- Experience working in schools or pediatric healthcare settings
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms (preferred)
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work flexibly between multiple sites
- Knowledge of early childhood development and communication disorders
- Comfortable conducting both in-person and virtual therapy
- Bilingual abilities a plus, though not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for preschool-aged students
- Implement individualized speech-language therapy, adapting to diverse needs
- Collaborate closely with existing SLP, special educators, and other related service providers
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Build connections with families and teachers to support communication goals
- Take part in multidisciplinary teamwork, especially in settings with OT requirements
