Litigation Consultant

Primary Purpose To address and handle high‑end cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios, and legal inquiries or disputes; to develop a strategy to bring a case to satisfactory resolution. Essential Responsibilities Review/act on reports and forms; respond to inquiries; seek legal opinion and pursue early resolution; communicate resolution to appropriate parties. Handle high‑end cases with serious injuries and/or complex coverage scenarios. Respond to decisions, agreements, or court orders; create an action plan; determine need for examination; obtain client authorization. Identify cases for settlements or redemptions. Gather and document additional information and coordinate with client designees. Request legal or private investigation; assign and coordinate with local counsel; monitor local counsel performance. Respond to plaintiff’s counsel, unions, employees, or client requests. Identify issues and formulate defense strategy. Establish or adjust accrued liability and approve administrative expenses. Identify subrogation opportunities and manage the process. Attend and participate in mediations, trials, arbitrations, or hearings as needed. Work with partners to facilitate early return‑to‑work. Manage a caseload of 90–100 litigated files. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred). Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred. Ten (10) years of experience handling litigation, including five (5) years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensing in California, NewYork, Texas, or Florida. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay range: $66,574.00 – $91,520.00 USD annually (jurisdiction noted in this posting).
