Production Assistant

Production AssistantWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This role works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate workflow, manage schedules, and ensure efficient production across departments in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Production Manager with releasing and prioritizing jobs to the production floorCoordinate workflow between design, scheduling, production, shipping, and dispatchMonitor production schedules and communicate priority changes as neededSupport production planning using ERP or scheduling systemsTrack progress and help ensure deadlines are metIdentify potential bottlenecks and proactively address production needsMaintain accurate records and assist with reportingQualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment requiredExperience in wood truss, construction materials, or similar industry preferredStrong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systemsExperience with ERP, production planning, or scheduling software preferredExcellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skillsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiativeDetail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
