We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to manage the customs entry process for shipments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and filing customs entries for imports and exports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
- Communicating with customs officials, freight forwarders, and clients to resolve any issues related to shipments.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Reviewing and verifying shipping documents, invoices, and other relevant paperwork.
- Tracking shipments and providing updates to clients on the status of their customs clearance.
- Assisting in audits and inspections by customs authorities as needed.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Implementing best practices for customs compliance and processes to improve efficiency.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in customs software and a solid understanding of international trade regulations are essential.
