Suncrest Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Gardnerville, Nevada. Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center boasts a welcoming atmosphere with a focus on teamwork and patient engagement. You will work onsite, directly interacting with patients in a structured environment designed for healing. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a work-life balance that accommodates both the needs of our patients and our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments of each resident to evaluate their range of motion, strength, balance, and overall functional limitations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on findings, aiming at improving patient independence and overall function. This includes setting specific, measurable goals and designing tailored exercise regimens.

• Implement therapeutic interventions that may include, but are not limited to, strength training, flexibility exercises, gait training, and pain management techniques.

• Guide residents through the proper use of assistive devices, such as walkers or canes, while educating them on fall prevention strategies to enhance safety.

• Support patients in their activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing and bathing, ensuring they can perform these tasks independently or with minimal assistance.

• Educate residents and their caregivers on effective exercise techniques, home exercise regimens, and essential strategies for preventing falls.

• Maintain comprehensive and detailed patient documentation, including progress reports, treatment plans, and periodic functional assessments to track improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, primarily consisting of elderly residents facing age-related physical challenges such as arthritis, osteoporosis, stroke recovery, and neurological conditions like Parkinson's disease and dementia. Your expertise will directly influence their recovery journey and contribute to their overall well-being, ensuring that they maintain as much independence as possible.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license issued by the state of Nevada is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• Ability to develop, implement, and adapt treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each patient.

• A compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience
