Work Environment

This position operates onsite, primarily within clients' homes, allowing for a face-to-face interaction that deepens the therapeutic relationship. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical evaluations for each patient, assessing their range of motion, strength, balance, and functional limitations. This involves using specialized tools and techniques to establish a baseline for treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. These plans may consist of specific exercises, therapeutic modalities such as heat therapy, and practical strategies to promote better health.

• Execute treatment plans effectively, guiding patients through works that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while also addressing pain management through appropriate exercises.

• Assist patients with walking techniques and the correct use of assistive devices like canes and walkers, emphasizing fall prevention strategies and functional independence.

• Support patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, and transitioning between positions, ensuring they can perform these activities with greater independence.

• Provide education to patients and their caregivers about exercise techniques and home exercise programs tailored to their conditions, as well as strategies to prevent falls and promote safe mobility.

• Maintain meticulous patient records, documenting treatment progress and outcomes, which is essential for ongoing care and assessment of treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus primarily on elderly clients, many of whom may be experiencing complex medical conditions that require specialized attention. You will engage with patients who are often navigating transitions in health status and lifestyle, requiring a therapist who can offer both expertise and empathetic support.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a higher degree (Master's or Doctorate) from an accredited institution is required.

• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

• An ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's personal goals and health challenges is crucial.

• A dedicated passion for assisting patients in their recovery journey and improving their quality of life is a fundamental requirement.

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team is required to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in an assisted living or home care setting is favorable as it demonstrates familiarity with the specific challenges and needs of our patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
