Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description This position is eligible for a $5000 Sign on Bonus! BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Your responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, AIDS education, and self‑exclusion. Conduct medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing physician standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation with occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or higher; a graduate program in nursing with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Compliance with state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
