Environmental Attorney

Seeking an Attorney to analyze issues regarding environmental responsibilities, including compliance with terms of an administrative order for a site cleanup, and advise on regulatory compliance for ongoing operations at various types of manufacturing facilities.

Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney to join their nationwide environmental practice. Candidates of all experience levels are considered, including Associate, Counsel, and Partner, with remote flexibility and periodic Pittsburgh meetings.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Counsel and represent clients on complex environmental remediation projects, contaminated sites, compliance matters, and emergency/incident response.
• Research environmental responsibilities, administrative orders, regulatory requirements, and state-specific issues while coordinating with local counsel.
• Advise on Brownfields development, third-party site development, remediated sites, construction-related issues, and emerging PFAS concerns.
• Handle environmental disputes, including JAMS arbitrations, administrative proceedings, ADR, and state and federal litigation.
• Manage litigation strategy, investigations, discovery, document review/production, legal research, pleadings, motions, briefs, settlements, and business development activities.

Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Bar admission and good standing required; California Bar admission preferred.
• Candidates at the Associate, Counsel, or Partner level are encouraged to apply.
• Environmental remediation and related construction law experience is desirable but not required.
• Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, and communication skills, including experience with memos, pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, legal judgment, work ethic, and ability to understand complex technical materials required.
