Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Manati, PR. This role supports financial operations, reconciliations, reporting, month-end close, and process improvement activities within a manufacturing environment. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure financial data is accurate, compliant, and aligned with internal procedures. This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys detailed analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Perform accounting activities across assigned areas such as freight, inventory, taxes, SURI, metals, and cost of manufacturing.- Execute month-end close tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate discrepancies between SAP and other platforms, identify root causes, and recommend corrective entries.
- Analyze and present cost of manufacturing data to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and responding to accounting-related requests.
- Maintain desk procedures and process documentation to support compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement. Compensation and Benefits - Pay rate: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- 3 to 5 years of accounting, finance support, reconciliation, or reporting experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, with SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
- Knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and compliance requirements.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, freight, taxes, SURI, or cost accounting processes.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to partner effectively with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams.
