Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, fashion savvy and service-oriented Sales Associate/Stylist/Buyer to join our team! As a Sales Associate/Stylist/Buyer you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, buying and processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and deep knowledge and appreciation of current women's fashion trends. 

Sales Generation and Guest Service

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and be prepared to provide legendary service to each Guest.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
• Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education, consistently sharing that knowledge and education with Team.
• Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
• Remain consistent on personal sales, as well as looking for opportunities to impact Teammates’ presentations.
• Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
• Provide legendary service throughout the store in these top four areas: Buy counter, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area.
• Help Guests try on or fit merchandise.
• Check out and bag purchases.
• Knowledgeable of all exchange and return procedures for Guests and exhibit the ability to turn into a showmanship opportunity.
• Meets or above performance standards in all Clothes Mentor procedures and guest loyalty including loyalty rewards and marketing programs.
• Maintain and build good Guest relationships to develop a client based business.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Clothes Mentor's customer service expectations in order to meet the needs of every Guest.
• Consistently perform leadership actions and maintain high standards, whether or not the Manager is present. 

Operations

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays based upon store and business needs.
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
• Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines, including daily bag and purse checks.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (“POS”) procedures.
• Understand and execute all policies regarding payments, exchanges and Loss Prevention practices.
• Perform merchandising tasks, such as handling fresh inventory, re-merchandising, preparing displays, completing price markdowns, and transfers.
• Consistently maintain a clean, organized and shoppable store to fulfill Clothes Mentors mission statement.
• Provide feedback to Store Manager and Leadership Team regarding merchandise handling concerns.
• Communicate any policy violations and Teammate or Guest concerns to Store Manager, or Owner in a timely, confidential manner.
• Understand and apply Clothes Mentors Code of Ethics and all Clothes Mentors policies, procedures, and handbooks.
• Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

A deep knowledge and understanding of current women's styles and trends is necessary. Familiarity with designer brands is very helpful!

Additional Responsibilities 

• Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Work at POS stations to ring up and complete customer transactions.
• Collect payments by cash and credit card
• Explain selling process to customers and purchase quality and stylish items from them.
• Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of current women's trends, styles and brands of apparel and accessories.
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
• Willingness to work well in a team environment
• Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
