We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join the firm in our Burnsville, MN, office to work with multi-disciplinary teams on State, Local Government, and private projects, primarily in the transportation arena.

Our Engineering Technicians play an essential role in the design and construction of successful, high-quality transportation projects that make a difference in people’s daily lives. They assist our Engineers, Project Managers, and Land Surveyors with drafting, design, surveying, inspection, and testing on a variety of transportation projects. They are valued members of the Stonebrooke team!

Responsibilities may include:

Computer-aided drafting and design (CADD)

Preparation of plans, drawings, and specifications for transportation projects

Inspection on construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications

Materials testing on construction projects

Performing various surveying tasks

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Attention to detail

Good communication and technical skills

A willingness to collaborate in a team environment

A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology (or related field) OR related experience

If you’ve gotten this far, we know these are things you have, and you probably have them in spades. But just in case:

Knowledge of CADD software, preferably MicroStation

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
