Scientific Business Unit Manager

Eurofins Built Environment Testing seeks a Business Unit Manager for the Pacific Northwest region to oversee laboratory operations, profitability, and personnel in Seattle or Portland. The role involves full P&L accountability, commercial growth leadership, operational excellence, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead business unit with entrepreneurial mindset; own full P&L including revenue, profitability, and annual objectives
• Develop and execute commercial growth strategy including sales, customer retention, pricing, and market expansion
• Build and lead high-performing team with clear expectations, accountability, and professional development focus
• Ensure operational excellence across laboratory functions with emphasis on quality, efficiency, and cost control
• Monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
• At least 10 years progressive business leadership with full P&L management experience
• Proven success driving commercial growth, revenue expansion, and new business development
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead commercial and operational teams with alignment focus
• Laboratory testing, environmental services, or scientific services industry experience preferred
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely
