divh2Trade Compliance Specialist/h2pThe Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for complying the companys Trade Compliance program and working with the companys Director of Trade Compliance and Legal Department. The candidate will be an integral part of the Trade Compliance team and will assist the organization with various areas of trade compliance responsibilities./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities/pulliHave strong experience with creating and submitting DDTC and BIS Export Licensing requirements./liliMust be able to provide approvals on the determination and usage of BIS Exceptions and DDTC Exemptions./liliManage, audit and provide training on approved export authorizations from DDTC and/or BIS./liliAbility to work, collaborate and communicate with all levels of management and/or cross-functional departments./liliExperience working with Program Managers, Designers, and Engineers on technical situations and developing trade compliant solutions./liliAbility to process Foreign Travel Request, Denied Party Screening, Visitor Approvals and Technical Data Reviews./liliExperience with Product Jurisdiction, Product Classification and HTS/Schedule B for products and software./liliExperience with import/export shipment transactions is desired./liliAssist with audits of internal controls and procedures by examining artifacts to ensure compliant transactions/liliSupports external audits and/or inquiries from US governmental control agencies such as US Customs, Department of State and Department of Commerce through data gathering and corrective action execution./liliProvide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the Company on trade compliance matters./liliExcellent communication skills both oral and written./liliMust be able to make significant improvements of processes and provide solutions that enhance performance and/or efficiency/liliDemonstrate proactive ownership and strong organizational skills with an ability to adapt to shifting priorities./liliPerforms other duties as assigned by the Director of Trade Compliance or direct Sr. Manager./li/ulpQualifications and Education Requirements/pulliBachelors Degree or Trade Certification, is preferred./liliMinimum 3 years related work experience (e.g. export licenses and product classifications)./liliKnowledge of the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)./liliA technical background for jurisdiction and classifications in hardware and software, is preferred./li/ulpPreferred Skills/pulliBackground in import / export regulations, compliance, classifications, licensing and exemptions, commodity jurisdiction requests and Technology Control Plans./liliCertified export compliance personnel, is preferred./liliAbility to file Electronic Export Information (EEI) in the Automated Export System (AES) is desired./liliDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and phone etiquette./liliRole requires ability to work across multiple functional departments / organizations and globally./liliAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment./liliAble to work within a team and foster teamwork and trust from both external and internal customers./liliStrong organizational, communication and computer skills./liliStrong level of computer skills with MS Office products and ability to be on video for internal and external MS Teams calls./li/ulpSecurity Responsibilities/ppMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
