Step into a rewarding contract role supporting early learners as a Special Education teacher in a dynamic school environment near Saint Paul, MN. As a part-time educator (0.5 FTE), you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact alongside a dedicated team in a self-contained classroom, supported by two full-time paraeducators. This opportunity offers flexible workday options and the possibility to transition into a full-time position.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education License (required)
• Experience teaching in special education settings, preferably with early childhood populations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, including paraeducators and support staff
• Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction in a self-contained early childhood special education classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with paraeducators to provide consistent, high-quality support to all students
• Engage in data collection, progress monitoring, and ongoing documentation for ECSE students
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions
• Serve as a float substitute within the ECSE program as needed to support continuity of instruction
• Participate in paperwork and collaborative planning days, with Mondays dedicated to meetings and documentation

Flexible Workday Schedule:

• Choose between daily mornings (M–F 8:15–12:15) or a schedule blending full and half days, based on your preferred availability.
