Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations. Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility) or Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS State licensure as required by regulations Experience 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements or 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician

REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training and/or experience with certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency. Medical Laboratory Technician with Associates degree with experience in high complexity testing and meets state licensure defined criteria.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB by a recognized certifying agency required (or must receive certification within 12 months). State licensure (as required by regulations).

EXPERIENCE

0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements OR 5 years or more experience for the Medical Laboratory Technician.
