Senior Accountant Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: East Windsor, NJ Work Arrangement: Hybrid Compensation: $70,000-$85,000 About the Opportunity Beacon Hill is working with a growing company in the real estate sector that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple entities, and partnering with leadership to support financial reporting and operational performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-driven professional who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy across a portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This position offers exposure to property accounting, budgeting, forecasting, lease analysis, and month-end financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation Support tenant and operating expense reconciliations Review lease agreements and apply accounting treatment as needed Analyze financial results and provide insight into property performance Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for assigned entities Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Prior accounting experience, ideally within real estate, property management, or a multi-entity environment Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis Advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
