Surgical Tech - CVOR CST

CVOR Surgical Tech Position Available

CVOR Surgical Tech position available. Facility has over 900 licensed beds. Designated as a Level 1 Trauma center. Supports both adult and pediatric cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. The department has 7 ORs dedicated to adult and pediatric procedures. Will consider first-time travelers. Patient types include those undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery. The department includes support from a clinical supervisor, charge RN, anesthesia/CRNA team, and experienced peers. Technology used includes EMR systems and IV Pumps. Floating may occur, but it is unlikely. Scheduling may include weekends and requires coverage for calls. Call expectations are 1 night per week and 2 weekends within a 6-week scheduling period. Holiday work may be required if it falls within the contract period. Unit culture is described as good. Personal scrubs may be worn to and from the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs are required in the OR.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Adult CVOR experience License: BLS preferred but not required Certifications: National Certification preferred but not required Must-Have: Surgical Tech experience with adult CVOR case types
