Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical/OR Tech.Traveler experience is accepted for first-time travelers.Experience in ambulatory OR and first assist.Direct laryngoscopy and endoscopic sinus procedures.Laparoscopic assisted cases, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, and stapedectomy.Radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy, and adenoidectomy.Thyroidectomy (partial/total) and cataract extraction/implant.Corneal transplant, eye trauma, glaucoma surgery, and vitrectomy.Skills in pediatrics such as craniofacial/plastics and ear, nose, and throat procedures.Fire safety and emergency management expertise.Aseptic technique and isolation precautions.Sharps safety, specimen handling and labeling, universal protocol procedures. Description:This position is for Surgical/OR Techs who will start directly on the unit.RTO after booking is not permitted and cannot be worked out onsite.Any call-offs or additional RTO could potentially lead to cancellation.Surgical and OR Techs will work in a variety of procedures related to eye, ear, nose, and throat.The average daily census is around 40 patients with a ratio of 1:1.The surgical unit includes procedures such as cataracts, ear tubes, tonsils, and sinus surgery.Standard equipment associated with eye, ear, nose, and throat procedures is required.No floating or call requirements are needed for this position.Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as required.Pre-start modules must be completed before the first day of work.Pre-start modules are non-billable and should be reported separately from orientation hours.All candidates must have necessary skills and certifications before starting.This position may involve working with a variety of age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
