Surgical/OR Tech
RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR. Surgical/OR Techs start directly on the Unit on Mondays. Required skills/certs/exp: Minimum years of experience: 2 years of experience required. Traveler experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time travelers. Locals accepted/rate difference: Yes. Work settings skills REQUIRED: Ambulatory OR & First Assist. Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) skills REQUIRED: Direct Laryngoscopy, Endoscopic sinus procedures, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Mastoidectomy/Tympanoplasty/Stapedectom, Radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy & tracheostomy. General surgery skills REQUIRED: Thyroidectomy partial/total. Ophthalmology skills REQUIRED: Cataract extraction/implant, corneal transplant, eye trauma, glaucoma surgery & vitrectomy. Pedi Craniofacial/Plastics skills REQUIRED: Rhinoplasty. Pedi Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) skills REQUIRED: Direct Laryngoscopy, Endoscopic sinus procedures, Frenulectomy, Mastoidectomy/Tympanoplasty/Stapedectom, Myringotomy with tubes, Septoplasty, Tonsillectomy/adenoids & Tympanoplasty. Pedi Ophthalmology skills REQUIRED: Eye trauma. Emergency management skills REQUIRED: Fire safety. Professional knowledge and skills REQUIRED: Aseptic technique, isolation precautions/PPE, laser safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling & universal protocol (time out). Procedure certs: BLS.
Job details: - Ratios: 1:1; Avg. daily census/visits/day: 40; Rooms/beds: 6. Shift: 40 hours can be offered. Will accept 11 weeks. Facility closes 11/25/2026. 8-hour days; 07:00 - 16:00. Call requirement: NONE. Float requirement: NONE. Weekend requirement: NONE.
Patient diagnoses/special procedures/unit details: Eye, ear, nose, and throat procedures; cataracts, ear tubes, tonsils, sinus surgery. Special equipment: REQUIRED: standard equipment associated with eye, ear, nose and throat procedures. Unit systems: EPIC, SBAR. Scheduling type: Per the unit needs. Unit orientation: 40 hours on the unit; Surgical/OR Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays. Scrubs: Provided.
