Looking for a full-time opportunity with consistent hours and a supportive team? Apex Placement & Consulting has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Grand Rapids, MI, seeking dependable Dishwashers to join its culinary team.

In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe and organized dining environment while supporting meal service for residents. The ideal candidate is reliable, thorough and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Wash, sanitize and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware and serving equipment
• Follow established cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures
• Assist with arranging trays, loading food carts and serving meals
• Help set up the dining room for meal service
• Sweep, mop, remove trash and maintain clean work areas
• Keep indoor and outdoor dining areas free of debris
• Properly measure and use cleaning products and chemicals
• Wear gloves and follow appropriate safety practices when handling dishes
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies
• Report supply and equipment needs to management
• Follow established infection-control, safety and emergency procedures
• Complete additional culinary department responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to understand work assignments, tray cards and basic diet orders
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation and resident safety
• Ability to safely handle soiled dishes and operate standard dishwashing equipment
• Good time-management and organizational skills
• Dependability and willingness to work as part of a team
• Availability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends or holidays as scheduled
• Previous dishwashing, kitchen or food-service experience is helpful but not required
