Hiring Assistant General Manager for Upscale Buckhead Tavern

Come join one of the newest restaurants in Buckhead! The Beechwood Tavern is building their leadership team.
Purpose: The Assistant General Manager is responsible supporting the General Manager with all operations within the restaurant; including but not limited to HR management, training and development of team members, adherence to standards, managing vendors, facility maintenance and ensuring that all agreed upon financial goals are achieved.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
People
Ensure the restaurant is 100% staffed, hiring high quality people who demonstrate and exceed standards.
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance with flexible availability. The AGM must have open availability, meaning a flexible schedule (not fixed) and be able to cover shifts on short notice. The AGM must be available whenever needed during operating hours which includes working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ensures employees are trained, motivated and empowered to deliver total customer satisfaction. Evaluates each employees ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent coaching and tracking.
Continuously improves the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees. The AGM must treat all coworkers and employees with dignity and respect; creates an environment where the entire team does the same.
Oversees progressive discipline and employee terminations in partnership with GM, kitchen managers, HR and COO.
Strives to develop qualified team members for advancement through mentorship and performance tracking.
Enforces all labor laws (federal, state and local).
Sales/Operations
Meets or exceeds the financial budget requirements
Email and phone correspondence completed daily
Follows procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, customers and company assets (building, cash, equipment, supplies)
Ensures food safety standards. All managers must be Servsafe (or food handler equivalent) certified
Completes product inventory and places or oversees purchase orders in coordination with the GM.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Work Experience minimum 2 years experience at AGM level or higher (or equivalent) with clear progression of leadership over past 3 years
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors preferred
Culinary, hospitality, or management degree strongly preferred
Strong culinary experience
Must be ServSafe Certified
Technology skills including but not limited to: POS back office, MS Word and Excel
Proficient in the following aspects of restaurant operations: product inventory and ordering, food prep, sanitation, security, HR functions including local, state and federal guidelines
Demonstrated success running high performing teams
