El Paso Behavioral Health System El Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167‑bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, providing mental health and chemical dependency care through inpatient, day hospital, and outpatient services. Job Type This is a PRN position. Availability needed on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Responsibilities Perform intake assessments and crisis intervention for patients. Provide patients who do not qualify for admission with referrals to community resources to ensure continuity of care. Assist with call center functions and other duties to support the needs of the Psych E.D. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in a human relations field or Registered Nurse. Experience: Preferably two or more years of experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting and a minimum of two years in a psychiatric hospital setting, including customer contact and crisis intervention. Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional (LPC, LPC-Intern, LMSW, or LCSW) or Registered Nurse. Additional Requirements: Working knowledge of DSM‑V and the Mental Status Exam; working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field; completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment; current CPR certification; ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
