Saronic is seeking a talented and organized Associate IT Technician. This role is responsible for providing basic IT support, including setting up and deploying IT equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer experience mindset, and an interest in developing a career in IT. You will be responsible for setting up and staging new hire systems, screening tickets for escalation and assisting the team with ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and mobile devices Troubleshoot and resolve or elevate technical issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Assist with user access‑based incidents and requests. Document and track support tickets using a helpdesk management system, ensuring resolutions are well‑documented. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex technical projects, migrations, and system upgrades. Ensure adherence to security best practices, including data protection and access control. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to provide an excellent experience in support of the business. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Previous role with customer service experience. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues. Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users. Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail and a strong ability to prioritize tasks. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus. Bonus Qualifications: Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) or military industry projects. Knowledge of autonomous systems or maritime technology. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional standing and walking within the office. Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports. Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
