Director, Lead Analyst, Global Infrastructure, North America Regulated Utilities

About the Role Grade Level (internal use): 13. The Ratings team supports credit opinions and market‑facing analysis across sectors. We are collaborative, data‑driven, and focused on delivering high‑quality credit analysis and insights to internal stakeholders and external market participants. What you stand to Gain Work as part of the high‑growth Global Infrastructure Ratings group, oversee relationships with utility issuers, present analytical findings, lead a small pod, develop junior analysts, and shape sector coverage strategy. Impact and Responsibilities Provide high‑quality credit analysis and sector insight that informs ratings decisions and client communications. Serve as a pod lead and subject‑matter resource for Regulated Utility coverage in North America, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Lead credit analysis for Regulated Utility transactions and issuers, including financial modeling, covenant and structure review, and scenario stress testing. Produce clear, concise credit write‑ups, committee materials, and market commentary. Oversee the relationship with issuers in the portfolio. Coordinate and mentor junior analysts: assign work, review deliverables, and provide feedback. Monitor market, regulatory, and sector trends and incorporate insights into issuer surveillance. Engage cross‑functionally to gather inputs and ensure consistency across teams. Maintain high standards of documentation, quality control, and timeliness. Lead operational and process improvements with a risk‑aware culture. Compensation US candidates: anticipated base salary range $170,000 to $231,000 USD. Canadian candidates: anticipated compensation range 198,000 CAD to 256,000 CAD. Qualifications Basic Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in financial services or capital markets. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA strongly preferred. Strong regulated utilities background and deep understanding of corporate credit analysis with at least 3 years as a corporate analyst. Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative factors into clear credit opinions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to lead small teams or pods and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or initiatives. Track record of influencing stakeholders internally and externally. Ability to articulate market trends and represent the organization externally.
