Connect Search is partnering with a stable, family-owned marine construction company experiencing significant growth, to add a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to its Galveston accounting team. This is a newly created role due to growth and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be more than a traditional accountant. You'll serve as a right hand to the Controller , gain exposure across multiple areas of the business, and play an important role in continuing to modernize and improve the accounting function.

What they're looking for:
- Strong general ledger, journal entry and month-end close experience
- Deep understanding of GAAP
- Fixed asset accounting experience
- xhyhwjd Advanced Excel skills — PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation; macros a plus
- Proven track record of automating manual processes
- Ability to problem-solve and bring new ideas to the table
- Leadership experience is a plus, but they're open to a strong Senior Accountant ready for the next step
- A proactive, adaptable personality who enjoys wearing different hats
