Schedule: 1st shift: 8am - 430pm Monday - Friday, some overtime may be required

Pay: $20.50-$28.00 DOE

Join a dynamic and leading provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions! We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to coordinate and manage the production of printed materials and related services. You'll be the key point of contact for our customers, ensuring their projects are executed flawlessly from inception to completion.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Engage with customers to gather job requirements and translate them into detailed manufacturing and shipping instructions.
- Offer workflow and process improvement suggestions to enhance job efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct quality reviews of job specifications to ensure accuracy before production begins.
- Enter and verify job instructions in manufacturing systems and oversee the production schedule.
- Communicate with customers throughout the production process to provide updates and gather additional information as needed.
- Review proofs with customers, obtaining approval for materials such as artwork, color separations, or ink samples.
- Coordinate production components with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
- Resolve customer and manufacturing issues by collaborating with relevant departments to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Recommend appropriate responses to issues that align with both customer and company interests.
- Provide pre-sales support by discussing manufacturing capabilities and requirements with potential customers.
- Monitor job progress, ensuring final products meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Compile final production run data and prepare paperwork for billing.
- Determine supply and paper requirements for jobs, including vendor coordination.
- Assist the sales team with RFP processes by providing estimates and processing plans.
- Oversee composition and copy preparation for customer products.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in special projects as needed.

**Qualifications**

- Strong knowledge of print production and related processes.
- Proficiency in policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives.
- Ability to review and audit junior staff work for accuracy.
- Advanced technological skills, including MS Office or MAC software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to business needs.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant administrative or operational support experience in manufacturing or a related office environment.
