General Manager

Description Port Canaveral Parking is seeking a strategic and dedicated Operations & Transportation Manager. This person is responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation and parking operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality service delivery. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight to support the organization’s logistics, transportation, and facility management goals. Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for all transportation and parking personnel. Coordinate and dispatch staff, vehicles, and units based on operational needs. Monitor entry/exit points, payment kiosks, and traffic flow to ensure smooth parking operations. Communicate with customers and vendors to manage reservations, cancellations, pricing adjustments, and inquiries. Assist with driving routes and parking lot operations as needed. Review and process billing, invoices, and customer payments. Support marketing initiatives and collaborate with other departments. Oversee logistics related to ships, hotels, and ports of call. Maintain oversight of the entire fleet and parking facility, providing regular updates to leadership. Perform basic HR and Payroll functions. Ensure compliance with safety, service, and operational standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, lighting, signage, and safety measures are maintained. Handle incidents, disputes, or emergencies professionally. Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and maintenance needs. Collaborate with security personnel and local authorities when necessary. Prepare reports on lot usage, revenue, and operational issues. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Utilize dispatch and transportation management software (TMS) to optimize operations. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards. Implement cost control measures related to fuel, labor, and maintenance. Position requires the ability to work weekends. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. 5 years in transportation, parking management, or logistics operations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
