It’s often said that the smaller the restaurant, the more amplified its essence becomes and nowhere is that more true than at Bar Sardine. Led by École Ducasse-trained Executive Chef Eliott Azoulay, Bar Sardine is an intimate French-inspired mini bistro that captures the vibrancy, allure, and effortless sophistication of Parisian dining culture.
At Bar Sardine, hospitality is thoughtful, polished, and deeply personal. Every detail is intentional, from the warmth of service to the atmosphere of the dining room and the thoughtful execution of food and beverage. About the Opportunity
A Server at Bar Sardine plays an essential role in delivering a hospitality experience that is elevated, personalized, and seamless from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in guest-focused environments and understand the importance of professionalism, presentation, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.
We are seeking individuals who naturally create connection, carry themselves with confidence and warmth, and take pride in providing exceptional service. Hospitality experience can come from a variety of backgrounds including luxury dining, hotels, high-end retail, concierge services, wellness, nightlife, or other elevated guest-facing environments.
Our servers anticipate needs before they arise, communicate thoughtfully, and contribute to an atmosphere that feels sophisticated, energetic, and welcoming all at once.
Core Responsibilities
Uphold a high level of hospitality and professionalism with every guest and team member.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and dietary restrictions, to confidently answer guest questions.
Follow all steps of service with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Execute opening and closing procedures for the assigned station to ensure readiness and smooth operations.
Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the entire team to support a seamless service experience.
Assist in creating a memorable and valuable experience for every guest throughout their visit.
Handle guest concerns or complaints with grace, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, always striving to accommodate special requests when possible.
Participate in ongoing food, wine, and team training opportunities to continually refine knowledge and elevate performance.
Requirements
At least 18 years old
Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Team-oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
Experience in a full-service upscale high volume establishment preferred
Will be required to complete and pass quizzes on product/job knowledge
Appetite for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests
Desire to learn and grow within the position and restaurant
Knowledge and passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails
Understanding of classic food, wine service, pairings, and service ware
TABC Certification, as required
Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by State and Local Agencies
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
