About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Reading basic telemetry strips experience Experience with CVA and TIA Cerner experience recommended Total joint replacement experience Description: Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be unable to apply for other positions for 6 months. Unit consists of 49 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetics, telemetry, post-cath, and total joint replacement. Registered Nurses are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift. Charge Nurses and House Supervisors are present on the unit. There are Nurse Aides on the unit with a ratio of 1:10-15. Equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Shifts are scheduled for 7 AM to 7 PM. Self-scheduling is employed, but schedules are balanced by management. Weekend requirement is 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working two days during Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving, along with working eves or days as needed. Floating to other units may be required if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract. Charting system used is Cerner.
