Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV / Low Voltage Installation Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in audiovisual systems, low voltage cabling, IT infrastructure, and commercial installations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
This role will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems, data infrastructure, lighting systems, and low-voltage technologies across commercial facilities.
Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test:
CAT6 and CAT7 cabling
Coaxial cabling
Data lines and network infrastructure
LED lighting connectors and controls
General low-voltage wiring systems
Install and support:
Audio/Visual systems
TVs, displays, speakers, amplifiers, and control systems
Network hardware and structured cabling systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Troubleshoot AV, network, and low-voltage connectivity issues
Maintain organized wiring, labeling, and cable management standards
Assist with IT-related setup including:
Routers
Switches
Wireless access points
Basic network troubleshooting
Ensure all installations meet safety standards and company quality expectations
Communicate professionally with team members, vendors, and clients on-site
Qualifications
Required Experience
2+ years of experience in:
AV installation
Low voltage systems
Structured cabling
IT/network support
Experience with:
CAT6/CAT7 terminations
Coax cable installation
Data line testing
LED lighting systems/connectors
Rack builds and cable management
Familiarity with:
Network infrastructure
Basic IT troubleshooting
Commercial installation environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial gyms, offices, retail, or hospitality environments
Knowledge of AV control systems
Certifications are a plus:
