License/Certs: Missouri license, BLS, ACLS, Board Certified in specialty

Experience: Minimum 2 years, trauma Level I experience required

What You'll Do

• Manage complex adult cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity stepdown unit
• Support cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair, and aortic procedures
• Conduct daily assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Monitor and manage arrhythmias, ventilator support, electrolyte abnormalities
• Interpret clinical data and laboratory results
• Perform chest tube management, surgical drain removal, and wound care
• Coordinate discharge planning and recognize clinical deterioration for timely escalation

What You Need

Required:

• Active Missouri license
• Board certification in relevant specialty
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years' experience, including trauma Level I

Preferred:

• Experience managing cardiac surgery patients with proficiency in pacemakers and volume management
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Ability to operate with autonomy in a collaborative team setting

About the Assignment This role supports a high-acuity Cardiac Surgery Stepdown unit, where you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive inpatient care. You'll support adult patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes through expert assessment, intervention, and coordination.
