Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and keen observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to deliver integrated care solutions.
• Educate patients and families to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain a seamless continuity of patient care.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation adhering to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and peer exchanges to remain current with advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet earned ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
