SSM Health SLUCare Center for Specialized Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join an elite academic division in St. Louis. Working within a busy Level 1 Orthopedic Trauma Center, you will collaborate with four dedicated trauma surgeons and three advanced nurse practitioners. This role blends high-acuity clinical practice with impactful opportunities for research and medical education as a faculty member of the SLUCare Physician Group.

Position Description

As an Academic Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, you will manage complex musculoskeletal injuries at our state-of-the-art facility. This position is ideal for a surgeon who thrives in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of orthopedic residents and fellows.

Because SLUCare is fully integrated as the academic physician division within SSM Health, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and community-based care. You will join an extensive network of over 600 academic medical professionals and 600 community providers, ensuring a robust, reliable stream of internal referrals and unmatched institutional support.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.


• Successful completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency and a dedicated Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.


• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.


• Demonstrated expertise and comfort handling complex, high-acuity trauma cases.


• Please note that J-1 or H-1B visas cannot be sponsored for this role.
