Are you a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal who loves drafting high-quality document packages and taking ownership of client files? Our growing boutique estate planning law firm is seeking a Senior Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team as our primary drafting specialist. In this role, you will be the backbone of our drafting legal team—working hand-in-hand with our attorneys and their custom consultation design sheets, converting those plans into complete, highly accurate estate planning packages. You will work directly with our lead attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Drafting & Assembly: Draft customized Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Wills, Financial Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Directives, and Certificates of Trust using WealthCounsel.
- Property & Asset Funding: Perform real estate title and deed research; prepare first drafts of personal property transfers to fund client trusts.
- Pipeline Management: Track client files, ensuring initial document packages are prepared and sent for client review within established firm timelines.
- Quality Control: Conduct final audits of all legal documents for consistency, proper party names, and formatting before client delivery.
- Client & Attorney Coordination: Address administrative client questions regarding draft reviews and process requested revisions efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of dedicated experience drafting estate planning packages in a legal setting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in WealthCounsel is required.
- Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of estate planning document structures, trust mechanics, tax considerations, and property deeds.
- Skills: Exceptional proofreading ability, high attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and a tech-forward mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
- Bonus Structure: Monthly performance bonuses based on file turnaround metrics and team production goals.
