Pediatric Clinical and Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

Performs any combination of the following duties under the direction of the Office Manager or Health Care Provider:

Front Desk Administrative functions including answering phones, making appointments, and insurance coverage verifications, ETC.

Will assist as needed with

. Translation

· Measuring vital signs (blood pressure, weight, height, pulse)

· Performing vision and hearing tests

· Completing finger sticks for blood collection or handling of urine specimens

· Must also have skills in obtaining and recording information accurately and timely into the electronic medial recording system.

· Medical Assistant also prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, provide information to patient/ parents regarding medical treatment and/or services to be offered during the visit

· Assisting physicians in room with patients, documenting notes in charts, drawing up vaccinations, and sending prescriptions

Qualifications and education requirements:

· High school graduate or equivalency.

· Excellent customer service, computer, and interpersonal skills

Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare or relevant experience in fast paced environment

Will also train the ideal candidate

Must have genuine desire to work with children, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.

Office hours: Monday- Thursday 9am- 6pm, Fridays & Saturdays 9am-5pm & Sundays 9am-2pm
