Accounting Director

Position Summary Grace Church is seeking an Accounting Director to serve as a key leader. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in both the details and the big picture — you'll own the day-to-day accuracy of our financial operations while also contributing strategic thinking to help our church steward its resources well. Job Responsibilities Engage in all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, contributions, disbursements, payroll, employee benefits and special projects Lead, develop, and support the accounting team in day-to-day execution Ensure financial systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs. Evaluate and implement new systems and improvements Provide financial information and recommendations to church leadership and ministries Maintain confidentiality and integrity across all financial data and processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred (CPA or MBA a plus) 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including team leadership/people management Proficiency in accounting and payroll software; experience with Quickbooks, Paycom, and PushPay/ChMS is a plus Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Discretion with sensitive financial and personnel information Leadership & Ministry Expectations Attend worship services and financially support the ministry of Grace Church Contributes to a positive staff culture by anticipating needs, collaborating well, and engaging in staff community Models excellence and integrity in all responsibilities, reflecting a strong work ethic and commitment to honoring God #J-18808-Ljbffr
