Primary Care Physician Opportunity

Minimum of 2+ years of primary care experience required. Comfortable practicing in a rural setting with a wide scope. Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently. Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach.

The area of Westcliffe has a population of around 500. It is located 1.5 hours southwest of Colorado Springs.

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center has been at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida, Colorado, since April 1, 2008. The facility's design enables us to provide state-of-the-art care using advanced medical technology.

The hospital is the healthcare center for the entire region, serving the many tourists who visit our valley and nearly 20,000 residents throughout the Salida Hospital District (Chaffee County and parts of Fremont and Saguache counties).

The position is at the Outpatient Clinic (South Park Health Care). You can build relationships, work collaboratively and truly impact the health of the community. Full time Monday - Friday (8a - 5p). Primary care practice independently with strong physician support available. Broad scope across the lifespan (pediatrics to geriatrics). Opportunities to manage chronic conditions, same-day needs and preventative care. Supportive clinic teams with Medical Assistants (MAs) and operational leadership in place.

Compensation and benefits include a competitive salary of $92,300 - $134,000 based on experience. Full benefits package, including health, dental and vision. Retirement plan with employer contribution. Paid time off and CME allowance. Sign-on bonus.
