The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tooling solutions that support the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality production and meeting industry standards. Key Responsibilities Design and Development: Develop detailed designs for tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies to support manufacturing processes. Utilize CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) to create tooling designs and technical drawings. Production Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements. Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions. Process Improvement: Conduct root cause analysis to improve tooling performance and longevity. Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements in tooling and production processes. CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine): Interpret and read CMM reports to validate tooling dimensions and ensure quality compliance. Use CMM data to make necessary adjustments to tooling designs. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all tooling complies with aerospace industry standards and specifications. Maintain proper documentation for tooling designs and modifications.
