Quality Technician - Second Shift

Quality Technician We are a privately‑held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers’ needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value. We are looking for a highly motivated Quality Control Technician to join our growing manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for direct examination of products to ensure quality standards and procedures are met, aligned with customer specifications, and to prevent defective materials from entering the supply chain. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspection of production material as assigned for defects as trained. Remove defective items from production, designating reason for removal. Report defects to the appropriate manager. Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with ISO 9001 requirements, corporate policies, practices, and procedures. Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers. Support new product development and continuous improvement by integrating quality tools into processes. Comply with company QA programs for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers. Create and maintain QA control documentation. Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization. Participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIR). Calibration and management of gages. CMM programming. Adopt and incorporate quality methods into work. Work independently; flexible and responsive with strong teamwork orientation. Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change. Understanding and support of company policies and procedures. Qualifications One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledgeable in the use of measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, and optical comparators. Experience with CMM and layout desirable. Background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) and understanding of ISO 9001. High level of attention to detail and strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and respond to change. Strong teamwork orientation.
